More about MATT YEE

MATT YEE was born a long time ago in a land far away called Honolulu...

Matt started playing piano and singing at age 3.

Matt was awarded a vocal scholarship at Dartmouth College.

He then went to law school and practiced corporate aquisitions and mergers and real estate.  He found that it sucked.

So he returned to his passion of music and comedy, making people sing and laugh together.  Now Matt has become an international entertainer and recording artist.

"Think Elton John meets Margaret Cho!" (The San Francisco Chronicle)

Matt now performs on the Biggest Ships in the World.  He is the highest revenue producing artist in his venue on Royal Caribbean Cruises (it's been documented that when Matt arrives, the revenue multiplies as much as 7 times).  His honors at Royal Caribbean include being part of the Inaugural Take Out Teams for the Navigator (2003), Mariner (2004), Freedom (2006) and in 2007 the Liberty of the Seas.  He can even be seen in RCCL's latest informercial.

"Matt is the best!"  R. Gasheider RCCL New Build Hotel Director and Adam Goldstein President RCCL.

His standing room only Sing Along Shows have become legendary with fans watching 6 lines deep, and others waiting up the stairs to catch his show and maybe grab a seat.  Corporate patrons from Johnson and Johnson to Pitney Bowes testify to the magic of his performances.

Matt honors include winning multiple ASCAP awards, The Hawaii Music Award, an OMA Director's Award (out of New York City) and he has been nominated for a JP Folks Award (L.A.) out of 35,000 entries for "Every Facet of My Heart".

Besides Royal Caribbean, Matt has performed on Norweigian, US, Carnival and Oceania Cruise Lines.  Matt is also one of Atlantis Events Signature Entertainers (since 2002).  He has shared the stage with tons of stars, including Margaret Cho, Rosie O'Donnell, Gloria Estefan, and more.   "I'm the REAL MATT YEE", Patti Lupone.

But that's not all!

Matt also performs on land for all sorts of special events, from corporate team building meetings to surprise 40th and 50th birthday parties.  He has also captured audiences in concert at many prestigious venues across America including, The Prince Music Theater (Philly),  The Biltmore (Phoenix), The Top Hat Theater (Palm Springs), The Showtime Millennium Stage at the March on Washington D.C.  Matt has also emceed and performed at huge Pride Festivals around the country including Long Beach, LA and San Francisco. He has also been a part of The National Queer Arts Festival, The California Men's Gathering, and The United States of Asian America Festival.  For fun, he's headlined  International Square Dance Conventions, done benefits and community building events for Aids organizations and other non-profits such as The Arizona Human Rights Fund, The Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center, and The Manifest Foundation.
